Lefty's is our go-to place. It just feels like home. We love the food and the specialty drinks are first rate. Mike the bartender is the best and we absolutely love Tiffany - our favorite waitress. Jen the owner is so friendly and welcoming. The people who bus the tables work so hard. I can't say enough about this wonderful place. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You won't be sorry!!

Love Leftys for a casual night out.   Sometimes they have live entertainment and the crowd is great.  The food is excellent.  No matter what you order- apps to entrees you can't really go wrong.  My favorite was the pulled pork nachos - a must try!!  All of the staff was very professional and friendly , and restaurant was clean, comfortable, and cozy.  A great date spot!

Friends and I were meeting at Lighthouse Tavern we decided to try Leftys because Lighthouse just gets way too loud with the music and we couldn't hold a conversation Leftys is a very nice place great atmosphere awesome food and the staff is. Very friendly we will be going to Leftys Tavern from now on..

Everything was great. We got the broccoli bites, lettuce wraps for appetizer and I got the Seafood casserole I forget the actual name of it. And the wife got the stuff chicken everything was great.

Bette and Tom Pernal are regulars. We love the staff and the food is always great. We feel like we're visiting friends whether seated for dinner (always in the Tavern) or sitting at the bar for a quick bite and an adult beverage.

Fantastic food, very friendly atmosphere, good entertainment on the weekends, fun open mic Wednesday nights and 1st Friday of each month, major comics at the comedy club shows! I had a 60th birthday party in the banquette room and it was wonderful!

Enjoyed a great lunch here on Father's Day, with our cousins Bob and Alice who live in Forked River, with whom Jean and I were visiting. The restaurant was packed, and they had a steel drum band playing outside (too hot outside for us) on the patio. They seated us within 5 minutes and the server came right over, introduced herself and took our drink order. What a pleasant surprise considering how busy the place was. After serving our beverages, she took our food order. The food we ordered came out in a reasonable amount of time, with everything cooked perfect and tasted exceptionally good. Everyone in our party was pleased, and we plan to return here again on our next visit.

It was late,we decided to order out we tried Lefty's and the only thing I can say is that it was absolutely wonderful,I ordered a Grouper Reuben and I must say it was the most amazing sandwich I have ever had.I love to eat but I'll tell ya one thing is that it was such a healthy sandwich that I could only eat a half of sandwich with a terrific fresh garden salad that just made my night.And I must also say that for a fresh Grouper Reuben that only cost $11.50 just really blew my mind!!! Nice Job and let's not forget a Fresh huge garden salad for only &5.00 ( UNBELIEVABLE ) Totally worth it & Recommend it! Oh also had Fish Tacos that were out of this world WOW Great Experience!

Was a little worried about eating at a tavern, but decided to give it a try since everyone I talk to loves this place.  This is not a tavern by any means.  There are 2 rooms, one side the "tavern" with booths and a bar, nice and cozy.  The other side is a beautiful dining room, this is where we sat.  It was a Friday night so the place was pretty busy but the service was fantastic even though we could see that our waitress had quite a few tables.   My daughter ordered the Veal special which was superb, I ordered the Peaches and Pork Chops from the homestyle menu.  I can't put into words how delicious they were.  Food did take a little time to come out but as our waitress explained, the pork chops take a little time and I requested bone-in which takes longer.  So glad we decided to try this place, we will be back and now I have a nice place to take my friends!

Love this place! The BEST French onion soup in the area!!!! Crème brulee is awesome. I have NEVER been disappointed in anything I have tried. Yummy for the tummy!

Four of us had dinner on Thursday night. Each of us ordered a different item. We were happy with our selections. I had scallops with sesame and my meal was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and the evening was very pleasant.

Had dinner here for the first time and wasn't sure what to expect. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. They have a nice selection to chose from and the prices are good. Our dinner was excellent and our server was very attentive. We will definitely go back

Thursday night I stopped in for a late dinner - it was after 10pm and long after most places have closed their kitchen. At best I expected a limited menu of appetizers and fried somethings...so I was surprised when the bartender handed me the full menu. I tried a thing I hadn't had before - shrimp and scallop medley over linguine.

OMG. It was perfectly prepared, seasoned perfectly - I usually load up anything I eat with tabasco, texas pete's or sriracha - depending on what's available...this thing needed none of it. I wish I'd taken a photo. Words might not do it justice. Jumbo shrimp, right-sized scallops, artichoke hearts, and I know they're supposed to be played out but ... sundried tomatoes. They worked really well in this dish. And $21 - for a plate that in some places a little further north would have been closer to $30...what's not to like.

I appreciate Lefty's a little more everytime I stop by. Best burgers in the area by far, and their Manhattan chowder is stellar as well. Not to mention the super-friendly and professional service whether you're at the bar or a table.

Great but I still miss the Carriage House.The owners are great people and the beer is always cold.
