Get ready to experience the flavors of the sea like never before! The Beach Haven Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the annual Beach Haven Chowder Cook-off. This beloved culinary festival gathers chowder enthusiasts, local restaurants, and food lovers for a day of taste-testing, entertainment, and community fun in the Queen City.

- Location: Taylor Ave, Behind Bay Village in Beach Haven, NJ
- Admission: Saturday is FREE, Sunday is a ticketed event
- Tickets: Available starting Memorial Day
What to Expect
The Beach Haven Chowder Cook-off is more than just a food event; it's an old-time adventure that celebrates local cuisine, supports community businesses, and showcases the delicious chowder recipes from local businesses. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a variety of chowders!
Chowder Competitions
Competitors in the cook-off are divided into two main categories:
- Red Chowder: Rich and hearty, these tomato-based chowders often feature a mix of clams, vegetables, and a secret blend of spices.
- White Chowder: Creamy and comforting, this New England style chowder is a creamy delight, filled with tender clams!
Winners will be announced at the end of the event and will receive special recognition, along with prizes that highlight their culinary talents.

Apart from chowder tasting, the festival features live music, arts and crafts vendors, and activities for kids, making it a perfect family outing. Whether you're here to taste the best chowder or just soak up the vibrant atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Lefty's Tavern provides a home for community groups, such as the Barnegat Rotary for meetings in our banquet room, and welcomes other groups and individuals to do the same.
